Chore coats/safari coats in lightweight shirting materials (ideal for travel)

Lightweight chore coats or safari coats out of shirting material would make an ultra practical travel garment where thicker coats are impractical and would also give the option of just wearing as a shirt on its own accord. Merino (or merino/linen blend) would be ideal as it does not require much washing and offers good temperature regulation. No other manufacturer I am aware of has attempted this, usually just using cotton with its usual drawbacks.
